The Ultimate Survey to help Amazing Grace.
Help us to help Grace by filling in our survey. We are asking you to help us build a better picture of hedgehog habits by taking part in the first annual Great British Hedgehog Survey. It will help us understand the changing habits of these endangered native mammals. Whilst commonly known as a hibernating mammal, alongside dormice and bats, data suggests that an increasing number of hedgehogs may be hibernating for shorter periods or not hibernating at all. We are concerned that hedgehogs are becoming more reliant than ever on human support to survive and that many of those who provide food and water for hedgehogs in the summer months stop doing so over winter, assuming their prickly garden residents are fast asleep.
Please add details of hedgehogs seen in your garden below. Answer as many sections as you can. Leave blank any areas that do not apply to you.
