We are #AmazingGrace and our goal is to help hedgehogs in the U.K. and halt their current trajectory of population decline. Over the next two years, we plan to qualify the whole of Surrey Heath as being 'Hedgehog-Friendly'. To do this we need to get communities together and raise awareness, both of the plight of the British hedgehog and of the ways in which people can help to make their villages and local areas more amenable to hedgehogs. We are supported in this campaign but Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue, Save Me Trust and the British Hedgehog Preservation Society. Find out how you can help, take the #AmazingGrace Challenge and help us secure a better, sustainable future for our hedgehogs.
Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue
Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue is 'committed to encouraging through knowledge the integration of wildlife into our countryside and our gardens alongside us in a natural balance.' They 'help to preserve wildlife in its natural environment by talking in schools and reaching the next generation and via worksheets, direct animal contact and talks.'
Save Me Trust
'The Save Me Trust exists to give wild animals a voice. It was created by Dr. Brian May and Anne Brummer to speak out about the cruel minority in our society, that persecute and torture wildlife for "sport". Save Me has become a leading voice in opposing the government's unscientific badger culls whilst fighting against animal cruelty and injustice.'
British Hedgehog Preservation Society
'The British Hedgehog Preservation Society is a registered U.K. Charity dedicated to helping and protecting hedgehogs native to the UK.' The Society 'offers help and advice to those with sick, injured or orphaned hedgehogs and maintains a list of rehabilitators in the U.K.'
